Rajasthan Bus Tragedy: 12 Dead, 30 Injured After Bus Hits Flyover Wall in Sikar

In a tragic accident on Tuesday, a private bus carrying passengers from Salasar collided with the wing wall of a flyover in Rajasthan’s Sikar district, leaving at least 12 dead and around 30 others injured. The crash occurred in the Laxmangarh area as the bus took a turn at high speed, causing the driver to lose control and strike the flyover’s structure. The impact crushed the right side of the bus, and the driver died on the spot. Emergency services used a crane to rescue passengers trapped in the wreckage.

Inspector General of Police Satyendra Choudhary confirmed the fatality count and reported that several of the injured were referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment, while others were being treated at Sikar’s SK Hospital. “Proper treatment is being given to those injured. The reason behind the accident is being investigated,” Choudhary told ANI.

Superintendent of Police Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav added that the bus’s high speed and overcrowding likely contributed to the driver’s loss of control, which led to the collision with the flyover wall.
