“Rajasthan Grapples with Intense Heat, Bikaner Hits 45-Degree High”

Rajasthan is grappling with intense heatwave conditions, with Bikaner experiencing scorching temperatures reaching a peak of 45.5 degrees Celsius. The meteorological department has issued warnings of strong dust storms across multiple areas in the state in the coming days.

The blistering heatwave has enveloped most parts of Rajasthan, impacting districts like Bikaner, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Churu, Hanumangarh, and Ganganagar. This heatwave has been particularly severe, with temperatures soaring to 45.5 degrees in Bikaner, 45.2 degrees in Phalodi, and 44.9 degrees in Churu, Fatehpur, and Ganganagar.

Amidst this scorching heat, there is a glimmer of hope for relief as the meteorological department anticipates a reduction in the maximum temperature, albeit temporarily. However, the heatwave’s grip remains strong across various districts.

Despite the oppressive heat, a change in weather was observed in parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions, thanks to a circulation system affecting western Rajasthan. This change brought light rain accompanied by thunder in several places, offering a brief respite from the heatwave.

Even in the capital city of Jaipur, where the maximum temperature touched 43 degrees Celsius, the evening brought clouds and strong winds, signaling potential relief from the relentless heat.
