Akhilesh Yadav’s Ongoing Critique of Congress
Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief, Akhilesh Yadav, has persisted in his criticism of the Congress party following the SP’s unsuccessful attempt to forge an alliance in Madhya Pradesh. Accusing Congress of betrayal, Akhilesh Yadav voiced his concerns about the future of the INDIA alliance, emphasizing that confusion within their ranks may hinder their ability to challenge the ruling BJP.
Congress Accused of Betrayal
Akhilesh Yadav did not mince his words when he accused the Congress of betrayal, suggesting that their actions have disrupted the alliance’s cohesion. He underscored the need for transparency and clarity in alliance agreements to ensure that their collective efforts remain effective.
“If Congress didn’t want to give seats (in MP), then they should have said it before. Today, SP is fighting only on seats where it has its own organization. Now after Madhya Pradesh, I know that the INDIA alliance is for the (parliamentary) elections at the national level. If Congress continues to behave like this, then who will stand with them? If we will fight against the BJP with confusion in our minds, then we won’t succeed,” Akhilesh Yadav expressed.
Focus on PDA Strategy
Despite the challenges posed by the recent alliance issues, Akhilesh Yadav reaffirmed the SP’s commitment to its core strategy, known as PDA (Pichada, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak). He emphasized that the SP’s approach is rooted in working for the betterment of these communities, which they believe will ultimately help in defeating the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
“PDA was formed first and the INDIA alliance was formed later on, and I have said on multiple occasions that although the INDIA alliance is there, our strategy is of PDA, and PDA will be the one who will defeat NDA,” the SP Chief declared.
Promoting Public Awareness Campaigns
Akhilesh Yadav, addressing a public awareness campaign event in Shahjahanpur, urged party workers to organize similar initiatives in all Lok Sabha constituencies. The goal is to inform people and party workers about the challenges and conspiracies they may face in the future from the BJP. He stressed the importance of countering the alleged misuse of government resources and the spread of misleading propaganda by the ruling party.
Critique of Local Infrastructure
The SP Chief did not spare the local government from criticism, pointing out infrastructural issues in Shahjahanpur under the BJP’s governance. He highlighted problems such as inadequate waste management, roaming animals on the streets, and a lack of proper traffic arrangements.
With the SP and Congress at odds, the future of the INDIA alliance appears uncertain, raising questions about their ability to present a unified front in the upcoming national elections.
