Ayodhya to Install Digital Kiosks at Key Locations for Pilgrim Assistance

In a bid to enhance the experience of devotees visiting the holy city, display kiosks will soon be installed at key locations in Ayodhya to provide real-time information about religious sites, including the iconic Ram Mandir and Hanumangarhi, officials announced on Wednesday.

Under this initiative, four kiosks will be strategically placed at locations such as railway stations and airports. These digital kiosks will serve as guidance points for pilgrims, offering crucial details on opening hours, distances, and other essential information about prominent religious landmarks. Additionally, they will provide historical, cultural, and tourism-related insights, ensuring a seamless and informed journey for visitors.

The project is being implemented by Shri Ayodhya Ji Tirtha Vikas Parishad and, if successful, may be expanded to additional locations. Each kiosk is estimated to cost approximately ₹2.5 lakh.

    Enhancing Pilgrim Experience

Santosh Sharma, CEO of Shri Ayodhya Ji Tirtha Vikas Parishad, highlighted the significance of the initiative, stating, “We aim to provide a convenient and informative experience to devotees visiting Ayodhya. These kiosks will help visitors access essential details about temples and other attractions, making their journey smoother. This initiative will also contribute to boosting tourism in Ayodhya.”

The kiosks will feature a touch-screen interface that allows users to access relevant information as per their needs. Additionally, some may include voice command functionality for easier navigation. A QR code scanner will also be available, enabling devotees to download information directly onto their mobile phones.

    Ensuring Accessibility and Security

To ensure uninterrupted service, the kiosks will be equipped with internet connectivity, power backup systems, and security features to prevent vandalism. Officials stated that the kiosks will play a vital role in keeping devotees and tourists updated about Ayodhya’s religious sites, attractions, and cultural heritage.

This initiative aims to facilitate seamless connectivity, allowing visitors to access real-time updates about temples and the city’s historical significance. By integrating technology with pilgrimage services, Ayodhya hopes to enhance the spiritual and tourism experience for millions of devotees.
