Dhanjay Maheshwari, a resident of Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar, Shivaji Road Extension, visited the Entertainment City water park at GIP Mall on Sunday afternoon in the company of four friends. The group, after securing their costumes and belongings in lockers, proceeded directly to the slide area. Tragedy struck when Maheshwari encountered breathing difficulties while sliding down. Despite attempts to rest and alleviate his condition, his health deteriorated rapidly.
Upon noticing Maheshwari’s distress, mall authorities swiftly arranged for an ambulance to transport him to the nearby Kailash Hospital. Despite medical intervention, he was pronounced dead by doctors upon arrival. Local police, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Manish Mishra, have commenced legal procedures, including an autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
