A fire broke out at a namkeen factory in southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh on Saturday morning, injuring four workers following an explosion caused by the blaze. The incident occurred at around 8:16 AM when the fire was reported in a two-storey building.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) swiftly responded to the call, deploying 17 fire tenders to the scene. The fire started on the ground floor of the factory, and as the flames spread, an explosion occurred, injuring four workers who were present inside the premises at the time.
The injured workers were immediately rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries remains unclear, though authorities have confirmed that they are being provided with necessary medical attention.
Firefighters continue to work diligently to control the blaze, with efforts still ongoing to douse the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
