The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has taken legal action by serving a ₹100-crore defamation notice to BJP Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi. This move comes in response to accusations made by Maneka Gandhi regarding ISKCON’s care of cows in its gaushalas (cowsheds).

ISKCON’s Vice-President, Radharamn Das, announced, “Today, we have sent a ₹100-crore defamation notice to Maneka Gandhi for leveling completely unfounded allegations against ISKCON.” He further expressed the deep concern and distress felt by the worldwide community of ISKCON devotees, supporters, and well-wishers in response to these “malicious accusations.”
