    Bomb Threat Halts Jammu-Jodhpur Express Train in Punjab; Search Operation Underway

    A significant security incident unfolded today when the Jammu Tawi-Bhagat Ki Kothi Express (train number 19926), traveling from Jammu to Jodhpur, was halted at Kasu Beghu station in Firozpur district, Punjab, following a bomb threat call. The threat, received through the Rail Madad app, prompted immediate action from both police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.

    According to reports from ANI, the threat was communicated via a mobile number registered in West Bengal. As a precautionary measure, the train was stopped at Kasu Beghu station, situated approximately 10 kilometers from Ferozepur. Passengers were promptly evacuated, and a comprehensive search operation has been launched.

    Police teams, including bomb squad units, fire brigades, and medical teams, have been deployed to the scene to ensure the safety of all individuals involved. Senior police officials, including Randhir Kumar, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) in Ferozepur, confirmed that the situation is under control and that all necessary measures are being taken.

    The incident underscores the heightened security concerns in the region, especially in light of recent increases in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities are continuing their investigation and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
