In preparation for the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on the Article 370 case, senior officials from the police and administration in Kashmir convened a crucial meeting to address concerns regarding law and order in the region.
A high-level meeting chaired by Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, J&K, Vijay Kumar, brought together district magistrates and senior superintendents of police from the Kashmir division at PCR Kashmir, marking a significant collaborative effort in anticipation of the court’s decision.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace, a senior officer from the Jammu and Kashmir Police asserted that strict actions would be taken against individuals involved in any form of misconduct or misuse of social media platforms.
Key figures including Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, IGP Kashmir, Deputy Director of the Intelligence Bureau, and several other senior officials attended the session, reflecting the gravity and importance accorded to the situation.
The meeting’s primary focus was to assess the current law and order scenario and anticipate potential developments following the verdict. Officials were instructed to remain vigilant, monitor the situation closely, and take proactive measures to prevent any disturbances that might arise.
