Mumbai Police Visit Ranveer Allahbadia’s Residence, Find It Locked

    Police Visit Y

Mumbai police, along with a team from Assam, visited the residence of YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia on Friday as part of their investigation into controversial remarks made on the YouTube show India’s Got Latent. However, the police found his flat in Versova locked, an official told PTI.

Allahbadia, widely known for his BeerBiceps channel, has been at the center of a growing controversy after facing backlash over his comments about parents and sex on comedian Samay Raina’s now-deleted show. Multiple FIRs have been registered against him and Raina—one in Assam and another in Mumbai.

    Police Probe & Summons Ignored

A police official confirmed that Allahbadia was summoned to appear at Mumbai’s Khar police station on Thursday but failed to do so. Subsequently, a second summons was issued for Friday, which he also did not comply with. The official added that Allahbadia had requested police to record his statement at his residence, but the request was denied.

Following this, police visited his home but found it locked. The teams then returned to Khar police station to plan further action.

Allahbadia Moves Supreme Court for FIR Consolidation

Earlier in the day, Ranveer Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court, requesting that multiple FIRs against him be consolidated.

    Ongoing Investigation & Other Summons

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has also summoned at least 50 people in connection with the case. Several individuals involved in the show, including actor Raghu Ram, Allahbadia’s manager, and social media personality Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), have already recorded their statements with the police.

Allahbadia & Samay Raina’s Public Apologies

In response to the controversy, Ranveer Allahbadia issued a public apology on Monday, admitting to his lack of judgment while making the remarks.

Samay Raina, the host of India’s Got Latent, deleted all episodes of the show from his YouTube channel. In a statement, he acknowledged that the situation had become overwhelming for him and assured full cooperation with the authorities.

    • “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly,” Raina wrote on social media.

    What’s Next?

With police intensifying their investigation and Allahbadia moving the Supreme Court, the case is expected to take further legal turns in the coming days. Authorities continue to monitor the involvement of other individuals in the controversial episode.
