Farhat Azam Shaikh, a teenager from Mumbai who gained viral fame for a dangerous train skating stunt, has suffered severe injuries after a subsequent stunt went tragically wrong. Shaikh lost his arm and leg while attempting a similar stunt on April 14 at Masjid railway station. The incident came to light after a video of his earlier stunt, recorded on March 7 at Sewri station, went viral on July 14.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF), which had been searching for Shaikh following the viral video, discovered his condition during their investigation. The RPF officials found Shaikh with amputations at his home in Antop Hill, central Mumbai. The case was registered by the Wadala unit of the RPF, which tracked Shaikh down after the viral video prompted increased scrutiny.
In response to the incident, Central Railway authorities have issued a stern warning against performing such dangerous stunts. The railway officials emphasized that these actions are not only illegal but also pose significant risks to the individuals involved and other passengers. Shaikh’s accident serves as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of engaging in life-threatening activities on railway tracks.
