In a shocking incident from Hyderabad, a Class 7 student allegedly attacked his teacher with an iron rod after being caught cheating during an examination. The disturbing event took place on Wednesday and came to light on Friday after police registered a case.
According to officials, the 15-year-old student was caught copying during an exam. The teacher, in an attempt to prevent further misconduct, instructed the boy to change his seat. The move apparently left the student feeling insulted.
In a fit of anger, the boy later used an iron rod — reportedly the same one used to ring the school bell — to strike the teacher. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the teacher were not serious.
Authorities have filed a case in connection with the assault, and the student will be presented before a juvenile court, police confirmed.
