In a significant enhancement to inter-city travel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat train along with nine other Vande Bharat express trains on September 15. The launch event will take place in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Railway officials have announced that this will be the first time that ten Vande Bharat trains will be inaugurated simultaneously. The Vande Bharat express trains are designed to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and offer a modern, comfortable travel experience.
Amit Gadre, an IT professional based in Pune with roots in Nagpur, expressed his enthusiasm, noting that the introduction of the Vande Bharat train will alleviate the challenges of ticket availability and reservation rush. “My home travel by train used to depend on ticket availability. Introduction of Vande Bharat will ease the reservation rush and reduce travel time,” Gadre said.
Another prospective passenger, Kedar Mahangale, shared his positive outlook on the new service. “Pune-Nagpur trains are most of the time packed and tickets have to be booked in advance. Vande Bharat train would be a great option for us to travel now,” Mahangale remarked.
The launch of these new trains is expected to significantly enhance travel efficiency and comfort, providing passengers with more options and improved service. The introduction of the Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat train is anticipated to be a major step forward in modernizing India’s railway infrastructure.
