“Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav Travel Together in Bihar Yatra”

Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav Lead Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Bihar, Priyanka Gandhi to Join in Uttar Pradesh

In a display of unity and solidarity against the policies of the central government, Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Indian National Congress, and Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), joined forces in Bihar’s Sasaram for the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. The yatra, aimed at connecting with the people across various states and addressing their concerns, saw both leaders riding together in a Jeep Wrangler, with Yadav taking the wheel.

Amidst cheers from enthusiastic supporters lining the streets, Gandhi and Yadav waved as the procession made its way through Sasaram. The camaraderie between the two leaders was evident as Yadav later took charge of driving the lead jeep, with Gandhi and other prominent leaders in tow, navigating through the bustling streets of Sasaram.

The highlight of the yatra was the joint public meeting in Kaimur, where both leaders addressed the gathered crowd. Rahul Gandhi seized the opportunity to launch a scathing attack on the central government, accusing it of being “anti-farmer” and “anti-labour”. He criticized the government’s policies, alleging them to favor corporate interests over the welfare of farmers and laborers.

“What the government is calling development is anti-farmer and anti-labour,” Gandhi asserted during the public meeting. “In the name of development, everything is being handed over to Adani. This is not development, this is theft,” he added, drawing applause from the audience.

The ‘Mahagathbandhan’ leaders are slated to continue their campaign with a public meeting in Kaimur later in the day, as reported by the Press Trust of India (PTI).

Meanwhile, the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, which embarked on its journey from Manipur on January 14, is set to cover a staggering 6,713 kilometers across 110 districts in 15 states, culminating in Mumbai on March 20. The yatra aims to address the concerns of people from various walks of life and build momentum against the policies of the ruling dispensation.

In a parallel development, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), is set to join the yatra as it enters Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli. The event will mark the beginning of the party’s election campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Avinash Pandey, AICC general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, expressed confidence that the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ would bring about significant changes in the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh. Both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are scheduled to address a public meeting in Chandauli, setting the stage for a spirited campaign ahead.

The yatra is poised to galvanize support and mobilize the masses against what the opposition perceives as detrimental policies of the government, setting the stage for a charged political discourse in the run-up to the elections.
