The iconic mansion of superstar Rajinikanth, located in the upscale Poes Garden area of Teynampet, has been affected by the heavy rainfall that has recently struck Chennai, bringing life in the city to a standstill. The persistent downpour has resulted in significant flooding in the area, leading to water seeping into Rajinikanth’s residence.
According to a post shared by Thanthi TV on X (formerly Twitter), footage captured the distressing scene of water entering the superstar’s home, highlighting the impact of the severe weather conditions. Poes Garden, known for its high-security status, is not only home to Rajinikanth but also to several prominent personalities, including the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, actor Dhanush, and other influential figures from various fields.
The flooding at Rajinikanth’s residence is a poignant reminder of the widespread challenges faced by residents across Chennai amid the relentless rain. As the city grapples with this natural disaster, local authorities are working to mitigate the effects and assist those in need.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth recently celebrated the release of his film Vettaiyan, which hit theaters on October 10. Directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions, the film features an ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh.
Looking ahead, the megastar is set to appear in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s highly anticipated film Coolie, alongside a stellar cast that includes Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Mahendran. Notably, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is expected to make a cameo appearance in the film.
The first look of Rajinikanth as Deva in Coolie was unveiled in September, showcasing the legendary actor dressed in character and holding a number tag typically worn by coolies, with the number “1421” inscribed on it. Lokesh Kanagaraj took to X to express his gratitude, stating, “Superstar Rajinikanth Sir as Deva in Coolie. Thank you so much for this Rajinikanth Sir. It’s going to be a blast.”
As the city navigates through the aftermath of the heavy rains, fans and residents alike are hoping for a swift return to normalcy, while Rajinikanth’s contributions to cinema continue to entertain audiences across the nation.
