Noida police have revealed startling details in a 1,200-page chargesheet filed in an Uttar Pradesh court, accusing YouTuber Elvish Yadav of orchestrating the supply of snake venom for rave parties using a virtual phone number.
The chargesheet, which names eight accused and includes statements from 24 witnesses, unveils a disturbing narrative of how Elvish Yadav allegedly arranged for venom to be used at parties. According to the police, he utilized a virtual phone number for communication, providing an extra layer of privacy and anonymity.
The chargesheet outlines the process: Elvish Yadav would use the virtual number to contact his friend Vinay, who would then relay instructions to Ishwar, responsible for coordinating with snake charmers. The snake charmers, in turn, would bring their snakes to the party venues as per the instructions received.
Elvish Yadav, along with Vinay and Ishwar, had previously been arrested for questioning and are currently out on bail. The police have also mentioned that venom extraction took place at a banquet hall owned by Ishwar and that Elvish Yadav maintained contact with snake charmers who are now in jail.
Senior police officer Vidya Sagar Mishra highlighted that the seized venom belonged to krait snakes, a member of the cobra family. The chargesheet includes statements from an expert in forensic medicine and toxicology from Mumbai.
The investigation stemmed from the arrest of five snake charmers last November, where nine snakes, including cobras, were recovered along with suspected snake venom. The snake charmers were arrested but are now out on bail. This chain of events led the police to uncover Elvish Yadav’s alleged involvement in the venom supply for parties.
The chargesheet underscores the gravity of the allegations and the complexity of the case, bringing attention to the illegal and dangerous practices associated with such activities.
