    Encounter Erupts Between Security Forces and Terrorists in J&K's Kathua

    An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Sunday evening, officials said. The operation was launched in Sanyal village, located along the Indo-Pak border in the Hiranagar sector, following reports of suspicious movement.

    Security forces swiftly responded to the threat, deploying reinforcements to the area. As of now, additional details regarding the encounter are awaited.

    Joint Operation in Poonch

    Earlier in the day, security forces initiated a joint search operation in the Sangla area of Surankot, Poonch district, after spotting suspicious movement. The operation was conducted by the Indian Army’s Romeo Force in collaboration with Poonch Police, according to ANI.

    Terrorist Hideout Discovered in Doda

    In a separate operation, security forces unearthed a terrorist hideout in a remote forest area in Doda district, leading to the recovery of a pistol and ammunition. Officials revealed that the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police and the Indian Army launched the operation in the Bhalra forest area of Bhaderwah on Saturday.

    During the search, forces recovered a pistol, three magazines, six pistol rounds, and 25 AK-47 assault rifle rounds. However, no arrests were made. Authorities acted on specific intelligence inputs following reports of suspicious activity in the region.

    Grenade Attack in Rajouri

    On March 21, suspected terrorists hurled a grenade at a police vehicle in Rajouri district. Fortunately, the grenade missed its intended target and exploded by the roadside without causing any injuries.

    A senior police official stated that the vehicle, belonging to the Special Operations Group (SOG), was on routine patrol when the attack occurred around 8:30 PM. The vehicle was traveling from Dera Ki Gali to Thannamandi when the grenade was thrown.

    Authorities have increased vigilance across the region, with intensified security measures in place to counter potential threats.

    Security Forces on High Alert

    With multiple incidents of terrorist activity and heightened tensions in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces remain on high alert. Search operations and anti-terror measures have been intensified across vulnerable districts to ensure the safety of civilians and maintain stability in the region.
