Suspect Arrested After Blast at Nightclub in Gurugram, Haryana

A low-intensity blast occurred outside the Human Night Club in Sector 29, Gurugram, in the early hours of Tuesday, causing damage to a signboard and a scooter. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

The incident unfolded when the accused, identified as Sachin, reportedly in an inebriated state, threw two “sutli bombs” at the nightclub. Police were quick to arrest him before he could throw additional explosives. Commissioner of Police Vikas Kumar Arora inspected the scene and instructed the deployment of a bomb disposal squad. The squad discovered two live sutli bombs and a country-made weapon on the suspect, which were safely defused by the team.

Investigations are underway by the Gurugram Police’s Crime Unit and SWAT teams. Additionally, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been called to probe the incident further, given the potential gravity of the situation. Police are continuing their efforts to determine the motive behind the blast.

This incident follows a similar case of public violence in the area. On November 24, a 28-year-old man was brutally assaulted inside a nightclub in Sector 29 after a petty argument escalated. The victim, who sustained multiple fractures, including a broken nose and eye injuries, was left unconscious after a group of suspects, heavily intoxicated, blocked his way out of the club and attacked him.

The Gurugram Police are closely monitoring the situation, with both incidents drawing attention to public safety in the area, particularly concerning disturbances caused by individuals under the influence.
