The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when Chetna fell into the borewell while playing near her father’s agricultural field in Kitarpura.

Authorities were alerted immediately, and a joint rescue operation involving the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local authorities commenced promptly. Despite challenging conditions, including compact and moist soil, the operation has entered a critical phase, with officials hopeful of rescuing the girl on Thursday.

“We have to dig to a depth of 170 meters to reach her,” said Yogesh Kumar Meena, an NDRF team leader.
