The Yemeni rebel group Houthis has reported the deaths of 17 of its operatives in recent US strikes, according to their official media outlet. In response to the strikes, the Houthis held public funerals in the capital city of Sanaa to honor those killed. The official media of the rebel group released a statement listing the names of the deceased fighters and describing the funeral procession as solemn.
The ongoing conflict in Yemen has seen increased tensions in recent weeks, with the Houthis controlling significant portions of the country, including the strategic port city of Hodeida.
