    3 NLU Jodhpur Students Dead, 28 Injured After Bus-Truck Collision

    A tragic accident claimed the lives of three students from the National Law University (NLU) Jodhpur and left 28 others injured after their bus collided with a truck on Ladnun Road in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district early Tuesday morning.

    According to police, the accident occurred around 5:30 am when a private bus hired by NLU Jodhpur was returning from Chandigarh. The bus, carrying about 30 students, was struck by an oncoming truck near the Laladasji Maharaj Dham area, causing it to overturn. The exact circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear.

    The deceased students have been identified as Aarushi Gupta (21) from New Delhi, Harshit Vashistha (19) from Chennai, and Aarav Middha (19) from Kolkata.

    Following the accident, local residents rushed to the scene and helped rescue the students. They were taken to a nearby community health center, where three were declared dead. Of the injured, four students in critical condition were transferred to Jodhpur for advanced medical care.

    Police officials confirmed that the truck involved in the accident fled the scene. A case has been registered under Section 281 (negligence in driving) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the unidentified truck driver, and efforts are underway to locate him.
