    Delhi Man Dies of Heart Attack While Performing in Ramleela

    In a tragic incident, Sushil Kaushik, a 45-year-old resident of East Delhi, collapsed and died of a heart attack while performing the role of Lord Rama during a Ramleela performance. The unfortunate event occurred as he was enacting a scene in a vibrant bronze outfit adorned with gold and silver detailing.

    Witnesses reported that Sushil was sitting on his right knee with his arms wide open when he suddenly stood up, took two steps, and appeared to feel unwell. Clutching his chest, he rushed backstage but collapsed soon after. Despite being quickly transported to Kailash Deepak Hospital in Anand Vihar, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

    Sushil Kaushik, the son of the late SK Kaushik, had dedicated 32 years of his life to performing in Ramleela, portraying the iconic character of Lord Rama. Known for his talent, he was deeply passionate about his role, often delivering all the songs and dialogues himself.

    The community is mourning the loss of a beloved performer who brought life to the traditional festival through his dedication and artistry. Tributes have poured in from fellow actors and local residents who admired his commitment to the cultural heritage of Ramleela.
