Dr. Jagriti, the granddaughter of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, has officially joined Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj movement, marking a significant addition to the political initiative. The announcement was made at a gathering held at Patna’s Gyan Bhawan on Sunday, where Dr. Jagriti, along with other prominent figures, pledged support to the movement.
Dr. Jagriti, who is currently affiliated with the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, joins a growing list of influential individuals backing Kishor’s efforts. Her involvement is seen as a strategic move to leverage her family’s legacy and influence in Bihar politics.
The event also saw the induction of two other notable leaders into the Jan Suraaj movement. Professor Rambali Singh Chandravanshi, a former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and currently associated with Patna University’s BN College, joined the ranks of Kishor’s supporters. Chandravanshi, who represents the Extremely Backward Caste (EBC) community, brings significant political experience and community connection to the movement.
Additionally, retired IPS officer Anand Mishra, who recently took voluntary retirement from the Assam cadre, also joined Jan Suraaj. Mishra had initially been a BJP member but ran as an independent candidate for the Buxar Lok Sabha seat after the BJP denied him a ticket.
The inclusion of these high-profile individuals underscores Prashant Kishor’s growing influence and the expanding support base for his political vision. Kishor’s Jan Suraaj aims to address key issues affecting Bihar and advocate for comprehensive reforms.
