In a tragic incident at the Mahavir Mela in Chhapra, Bihar, a tin roof collapsed during an orchestra performance on Tuesday, leaving several people injured. The collapse occurred in Isuapar, where thousands of locals had gathered for the music event.
Eyewitnesses reported that hundreds of people were standing on the tin roof to get a better view of the performance when it gave way. The sudden failure of the roof caused it to fall onto the crowd below, resulting in a chaotic scene.
Visuals from the event show a temporary blue tin roof suddenly giving way, causing those standing on top to plunge to the ground. The collapse triggered a stampede-like situation, with people screaming and fleeing the area in panic.
Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, and the injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. Police from two stations were deployed to manage the situation and assist with the evacuation of the injured. According to reports, the condition of ten individuals is critical.
