Auto Driver’s Link to Sector-10 Blast Under Investigation

The Chandigarh Police have intensified their probe into the involvement of auto driver Kuldeep in the recent Sector-10 blast, with new developments emerging from ongoing investigations. Kuldeep, who drove the suspects to and from the scene on September 11, remains in police remand as authorities scrutinize his role in the case.

Despite extensive questioning, the police have yet to conclusively link Kuldeep to the blast. However, a significant lead has surfaced: Kuldeep reportedly drove the suspects for a reconnaissance mission two days prior to the attack. His call records are currently under review to determine any potential connections with the suspects and understand the circumstances of their transportation on the day of the explosion.

Kuldeep claims that he first encountered the suspects at the Sector-43 ISBT, where they requested a tour of Sector-10. On September 11, the same individuals approached him again at the bus stand, asking for a ride to the same area. Upon reaching House Number 575 in Sector 10, Kuldeep recounted that one of the suspects, Rohan Masih, exited the auto, threw a grenade at the house, and then reboarded the vehicle. Initially mistaking the blast for a transformer explosion, Kuldeep later realized it was a result of an explosive device. The suspects then paid him ₹500 and fled the scene.

A senior police official noted, “Kuldeep maintains his innocence in the attack. We plan to cross-examine his statement with those of Rohan Masih and Vishal, the other suspects, to ascertain his exact role.”

Kuldeep, a resident of Punjab currently residing in makeshift lodging in Sector 17, remains under investigation. His involvement in the attack is still being assessed, with further interrogation and cross-examination planned.

In related developments, the police have apprehended key suspects connected to the case. Prime suspect Rohan Masih was arrested from Amritsar on Friday, and Vishal was taken into custody from Delhi on Saturday evening. Vishal, originally from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, had been working as a carpenter in Jammu and Kashmir alongside Masih. Both men are believed to have been recruited by Happy Passia, a Khalistani gangster based in the US, who operates a terror module linked to Pakistan-based terrorist Harwinder Singh Rinda. The terror group is suspected of providing grenades and weapons through cross-border drone operations.

In addition to local investigations, Chandigarh Police have dispatched teams to Madhya Pradesh to locate potential associates of Rohan Masih who may have played a role in the attack.
