“Chief Minister Khattar Assures Action Against Bajrang Dal’s Monu Manesar in Nuh Violence”

In a recent development, Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, announced that Rajasthan Police has been given the green light to take necessary action against Monu Manesar, a member of the Bajrang Dal. This decision comes after videos surfaced suggesting that Manesar would be participating in an annual religious procession in Nuh, which was blamed for triggering violence in the region. It is essential to note that Monu Manesar has been on the run since his alleged involvement in the killing of two Muslim cattle traders back in February.

Speaking at a press conference in Chandigarh, Chief Minister Khattar assured that his government will extend all possible assistance to Rajasthan Police in their efforts to locate and apprehend Monu Manesar. The incident in Nuh led to unfortunate clashes between Hindu and Muslim groups during a Bajrang Dal and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Shobha Yatra on Monday. The violence even spread to Gurugram on Tuesday, with mobs resorting to arson and vandalism, causing significant damage to various establishments.

Addressing concerns over the delay in arresting Monu Manesar, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to ensure that no one responsible for the violence goes unpunished. He promised that the conspirators behind the communal violence would be identified, and strict action would be taken against them.

As a response to the incident, 116 individuals have been arrested so far, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend those who are still at large. The government is actively working to identify the culprits and hold them accountable for the tragic loss of six lives, including two home guard personnel and four civilians.

Regarding compensation for the damages caused during the violence, Chief Minister Khattar referred to existing laws that provide for government compensation for losses to public property. Additionally, those who caused damage to private property will be held liable and required to compensate for the losses.

In an effort to restore peace and maintain law and order, the state has deployed 20 companies of central forces, with 14 stationed in Nuh, three in Palwal, two in Gurugram, and one in Faridabad. The Chief Minister also revealed that four more companies of central forces have been requested.

Furthermore, to ensure the safety and security of the region, one police battalion comprising approximately 1,000 personnel will be permanently stationed in Nuh.

Chief Minister Khattar expressed his concern over the incident and vowed to take all necessary measures to bring normalcy back to the affected areas. He appealed to the people to assist the government in maintaining peace and harmony.

The government is leaving no stone unturned to identify the culprits behind the communal violence and ensure that justice is served. As the investigation continues, the authorities remain vigilant to prevent any further escalation of violence and restore calm to the region.
