In a momentous revelation, the complete look of the idol of Lord Ram, known as Ram Lalla, has been unveiled at the Ayodhya Temple, just days before the highly anticipated consecration ceremony scheduled for Monday. The 51-inch idol, sculpted by the talented artist Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, portrays Lord Ram as a five-year-old child in a standing posture, adorned with a golden bow and arrow.

The unveiling of the idol, which is made of black stone, took place over two days as a build-up to the consecration ceremony. Initial glimpses were shared on Thursday, featuring the idol being placed inside the sanctum sanctorum, albeit covered with a cloth. Today’s revelation showcased the deity’s face and the intricate details of the golden bow and arrow.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak confirmed that all necessary arrangements for the grand ceremony on January 22 have been completed. “Ramlalla has been installed in the temple. All arrangements, including that of infrastructure, medical facilities, and medicines, have been made,” stated Mr. Pathak to news agency PTI.

The rituals for the temple consecration commenced on January 12, and the highly anticipated puja for the “Pran Pratistha” will be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. A team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit is set to conduct the main rituals of the Pran Prathistha.

The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for Monday, will witness the presence of dignitaries such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and a star-studded guest list including billionaire Mukesh Ambani, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, and actor Akshay Kumar, among others.

In light of the significant event, government offices, boards, and corporations in several states have declared a half-day or holiday on January 22, allowing citizens to participate in or witness the historic moment as Ayodhya welcomes the consecration of the Ram Temple.
