Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan graced the launch of cancer awareness drive ‘Nidarr Hamesha’ by Nanawati Max Super Specialty hospital and shared his personal experience with deadly disease and respect he shares for cancer warriors. The iconic Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital of Mumbai launched a dedicated ‘Preventive Cancer Care,’ clinic as a part of its ongoing cancer awareness drive ‘Nidarr Hamesha.’ In a first-of-its-kind event, the hospital also launched a support group for cancer survivors, ‘Nanavati Max Saathi,’ and honored over 15 cancer survivors for their successful battle against the disease.The event saw cancer survivors dancing to Dil Chori song from Kartik Aaryan starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
Sharing his personal experience with deadly disease, Kartik said, “During the shoot of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, my mother’s chemotherapy was going on, and the song on which I just danced with the kids, we were shooting the same song and on the other hand, the chemotherapy sessions were going on.
And the kind of strength these people showed at the time, I am celebrating these survivors and warrior today and I would like to salute each one of them”Four years ago, Kartik’s mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer, which is what made the actor passionate about the cause. On the work front, Kartik has lined-up Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for release, along with Shehzada, Freddy, Om Raut’s yet-untitled 3D action drama, Satyanarayan Ki Katha, Captain India and more.
