“King Charles III’s Surgery for Non-Serious Prostate Issue Set for Next Week”

King Charles III to Undergo Prostate Surgery as Princess of Wales Recovers from Abdominal Surgery

Buckingham Palace announced today that King Charles III, aged 75, will undergo a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate. The palace assured the public that the monarch’s condition is benign, and the procedure is scheduled for next week. As a result, King Charles’ public appearances will be temporarily deferred for a short period to allow for a smooth recovery, according to a report by BBC.

The revelation comes on the heels of the recent news that the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, is currently recovering from abdominal surgery. Kensington Palace stated that the procedure was planned, and the Princess will remain at a private hospital for up to two weeks.

“In common with thousands of men each year, The King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate,” Buckingham Palace explained in a statement. “His Majesty’s condition is benign, and he will attend the hospital next week for a corrective procedure. The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”

While benign prostate enlargement is a common condition in men over 50, the National Health Service (NHS) notes that it is generally not a serious health concern and does not increase the risk of developing prostate cancer.

Simultaneously, Kensington Palace provided an update on Princess Kate Middleton’s health, emphasizing her desire for privacy. “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private,” the statement read.

The palace added that Princess Kate looks forward to resuming her engagements at the earliest convenience. “She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible,” the palace said.

As the royal family faces health challenges, the public awaits updates on the successful recovery of both King Charles III and Princess Kate Middleton, with hopes for their swift return to their royal duties.
