“Mohan Yadav Sworn In as Madhya Pradesh CM With Prime Minister’s Presence”

Mohan Yadav Sworn in as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister; Deputy CMs Take Oath in Bhopal Ceremony

In a ceremonial event filled with political dignitaries and party stalwarts, Mohan Yadav took the oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant transition in the state’s leadership. The oath-taking ceremony held in Bhopal witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and a host of other influential figures from the political spectrum.

Accompanied by the swearing-in of Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, Governor Mangubhai Patel administered the oath of office to the newly appointed chief minister and his deputies. Mohan Yadav, elected from the Ujjain South constituency in the recent elections, previously served as a minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government. Known for his affiliation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and representing the Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Yadav’s political ascent underscores his close ties to a significant portion of the state’s populace, constituting over 48%.

Having secured victory in the elections with a remarkable win of 163 seats out of the 230-member Assembly, the BJP’s decision to nominate Yadav, a surprise pick, highlights the party’s endeavor to introduce a generational shift in leadership across several Hindi heartland states.

Despite speculation surrounding former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s role, Yadav’s selection signifies a shift in leadership strategy, emphasizing a younger cadre for the state’s governance.

The presence of key political figures such as BJP President JP Nadda, Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Eknath Shinde, and Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and Nitin Gadkari, underscored the significance of the event within the political landscape.

Expressing his priorities post-oath, Mohan Yadav stressed the focus on sectors like education, healthcare, employment, and overall statewide development under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The swearing-in of Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda aimed not only to balance caste equations but also to placate any discord within the party ranks ahead of the impending Lok Sabha elections next year. Devda, a six-time MLA, and Shukla, a prominent Brahmin face from the Vindhya Pradesh region, bring their political prowess and experience to the leadership tableau.

The ceremony’s success marked the beginning of a new administrative era in Madhya Pradesh, steering the state toward a vision guided by the principles of progress, development, and inclusivity under the leadership of Mohan Yadav.
