Ambanis Among Distinguished Guests
The Ambanis, prominent figures in the Indian business world, were part of an exclusive group of Indian entrepreneurs invited to a “candlelight dinner” a day before the inauguration. Reports suggest the dinner included high-profile attendees like Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and other global industry leaders.
Mukesh Ambani, dressed in a black suit, and Nita Ambani, wearing a black saree paired with a coat and emerald jewelry, mingled with notable figures at the event. Real estate entrepreneur Kalpesh Mehta shared photos of the Ambanis on Instagram, captioning them, “Fun night with Nita and Mukesh Ambani at the inaugural event for President Trump.”
Ambani’s Role in the Ceremony
ANI reported that Mukesh Ambani is expected to have a prominent place on the dais alongside Trump’s Cabinet nominees and elected officials during the swearing-in ceremony.
Trump’s Inauguration Ceremony
Donald Trump will officially assume office as the 47th President of the United States in an indoor ceremony due to extreme cold weather in Washington DC. This marks the first indoor Presidential inauguration since 1985.
India will be represented at the event by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. Other notable attendees include Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, Sundar Pichai, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama.
The inauguration day events will commence with a traditional church service, followed by tea at the White House. The swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol will culminate with Trump’s inaugural address and a farewell to outgoing President Joe Biden.
This grand gathering of political, corporate, and global leaders underscores the significance of the event and highlights the Ambanis’ role in fostering India’s representation on the international stage.
