A train engine’s unexpected detour into a field in Raghunathpur village, Bihar, has captured the attention of locals and social media alike. The incident occurred on Friday evening when the locomotive, running without any coaches, lost control and veered off the tracks while traveling on a loop line towards Gaya.
The engine, which was traveling between Wazirganj station and Kolhna halt, ended up in the middle of a field, amusing locals who gathered to witness the unusual sight. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the derailment.
The scene quickly turned into a social media sensation, with photos of the stranded engine circulating widely and sparking humorous memes. Some online users jokingly suggested that trains might now be used for ploughing fields.
A railway relief team promptly arrived at the location to address the situation. Efforts are underway to get the engine back on the tracks. NDTV reached out to the Wazirganj station manager for comments, but no response was received at the time of reporting.
