In a shocking incident at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, an employee at the Harvest & Grounds coffee shop in Concourse D, identified as Shacoria Elly, erupted into violence after being fired. The confrontation, which unfolded on Saturday, involved a heated argument with managers, leading to a chaotic scene captured on video.
According to the New York Post, the altercation stemmed from a dispute over espresso shots, resulting in the employee’s termination. The video, shared by the Twitter account Clown World, reveals a tumultuous exchange as two managers attempt to prevent Elly from accessing the back of the store while she demands, “Give me my stuff.”
In the footage, Elly grabs a chair, attempting to throw it before a manager intervenes, successfully disarming her. Undeterred, she charges at the manager, resulting in a physical altercation that ends with her being thrown to the ground. The video further shows Elly attempting to leave the store, but she reverses course, vaulting over the counter. In a clumsy attempt to flee with her belongings, she trips and falls before ultimately walking away.
The incident prompted the arrival of Atlanta Police officers, although Elly had left the scene by then. In the police report, it is stated that Elly was terminated from her position, and airport security confiscated her badge. The report concludes, “All parties were issued a case number and a time frame in which they can obtain a copy of this report; nothing further to report at this time.”
Surprisingly, no criminal charges have been filed against Elly, despite the dramatic nature of the altercation. The video has ignited discussions about workplace disputes and the challenges faced by employees in high-stress environments. The Harvest & Grounds coffee shop is now dealing with the aftermath of the incident as authorities continue to assess the situation.
