Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering sustainable progress and improving the well-being of citizens. The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana encompasses a range of measures, including substantive subsidies directly deposited into individuals’ bank accounts and concessional bank loans, to alleviate any financial burden on the people. Urban local bodies and panchayats will also be incentivized to promote rooftop solar systems within their jurisdictions, further expanding the reach and impact of the initiative.
