Six devotees from Karnataka lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday morning. The victims were returning from Prayagraj after attending the Mahakumbh when their car lost control and crashed into a bus.
According to Jabalpur Collector Deepak Saxena, eight people from Karnataka were in the vehicle when the accident occurred in the Pehrawa area. “Six people died on the spot, while two were injured. The injured have been admitted to Jabalpur Medical College for treatment,” Saxena said.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which first struck a tree and a divider before veering into the opposite lane and colliding with a bus. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the bus passengers.
Authorities have contacted the relatives of the deceased, and arrangements are being made to transport the bodies to their hometown in Belagavi, Karnataka.
