"US Singer Mary Millben Slams Nitish Kumar, Calls for a Courageous Woman to Lead Bihar Amidst Controversial Population Control Remarks"

In a bold statement, acclaimed African-American singer Mary Millben criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his recent controversial remarks on women and education in the state assembly. Millben, a supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, called for a courageous woman to step forward and declare her candidacy for the chief ministerial post in Bihar.

In a video message posted on social media, Mary Millben expressed her disapproval of Nitish Kumar’s comments, stating, “Today, India faces a defining moment. Right in Bihar. Where the value of women is being challenged.” Millben suggested that in the wake of Kumar’s remarks, a woman should come forward to run for Chief Minister, adding, “If I were a citizen of India, I would move to Bihar and run for Chief Minister.”

Drawing inspiration from historical references, Millben invoked the story of Queen Esther from the holy scriptures, emphasizing the need for women to seize the moment and stand up for their rights. She urged the people of Bihar and India to use their voting power to bring about change, saying, “You, the people of Bihar, of India, have the power to vote in a woman, to vote in change…for such a time as this. Namaste.”

Mary Millben, known for her support of PM Modi, highlighted the Prime Minister’s commitment to women and leadership. During Modi’s state visit to the US, Millben gained attention for touching the Prime Minister’s feet and singing the Indian national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana.”

The controversy surrounding Nitish Kumar’s remarks prompted an apology from the Chief Minister, who acknowledged the criticism and withdrew his words. However, Prime Minister Modi criticized Kumar’s statements, condemning the use of crass language in the state assembly.

As the situation unfolds, Mary Millben’s call for change and her support for a woman to lead Bihar adds a unique dimension to the ongoing discourse on women’s rights and political leadership.
