PM Modi Looks Ahead to 2047, Emphasizes Development Goals at India Today Conclave

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his appearance at the India Today Conclave, shared insights into his long-term vision for India, stating that while others may focus on the upcoming 2029 Lok Sabha elections, he is already planning for the year 2047. This declaration underlines his strategic approach and forward-thinking mindset towards the nation’s progress.

Addressing the audience, PM Modi emphasized his commitment to delivering results within deadlines rather than seeking headlines. He highlighted the current national sentiment, characterized by aspirations for India to emerge as a “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) and strive towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

“The mood of the nation is about making India a Viksit Bharat,” PM Modi remarked, highlighting the ongoing efforts to accelerate India’s development despite global uncertainties. He reiterated that his focus is on tangible achievements that contribute to India’s rapid growth trajectory.

Reflecting on the transformation in the Northeast region, PM Modi noted the significant shift in priorities since 2014. He emphasized that under his government, the Northeast has received increased attention and investment, marking a departure from its previous neglect.

“Before 2014, the northeast region was always at the bottom of the list of priorities. After 2014, we decided that our ministers and senior officials would tour not only the district headquarters but also the interior parts of the region,” PM Modi stated, highlighting the proactive approach taken to address regional disparities.

PM Modi also highlighted the extensive visits made by central ministers to the Northeast, signaling a change in perspective towards the region’s development. He emphasized the shift from considering certain areas as the “last villages” to redefining them as the “first villages,” symbolizing a paradigm shift in mindset and approach.

The Prime Minister’s remarks at the India Today Conclave shed light on his strategic planning for India’s future, with a focus on sustainable development, inclusive growth, and addressing regional disparities to achieve the vision of a prosperous and developed nation by 2047.
